The town of Bexley is located South of Stansted airport at a distance of 46 miles that would take around 50 minutes by taxi via the M25. It is located in South East London in the London Borough of Bexley and has a population of 232,800 according to 2011 statistics.

Before becoming the main town of the London Borough of Bexley in 1965, Bexley was an ancient parish of Kent. The town consists of two parts - Old Bexley that retains its ancient village atmosphere and character and a more modern suburban area which includes Albany Park, Lamorbey, Bladindon, Blendon, and Bexleyheath and makes up what is known as the main town centre. The town is is located on the banks of the River Cray south of the Roman Road, Watling Street and its well known landmark is the Anglican St. Mary's Church which has a unique octagonal spire.

The town has some interesting places to visit including Hall Place-a former stately home beside the River Cray and the house and grounds are open to the public, Danson House, Danson Park, The Red House-created and lived in by William Morris, founder of the Arts and Crafts movement and Walking Routes such as the Shuttle River Way, the Cray River Way and the London Loop Walk.
